A community of makers
A New Chapter at La Placita in East Harlem
Celebrate 14 years of handmade tradition at our new indoor home.
Join us for a premier gathering of natural fiber artists, crocheters, dyers, felters, knitters, quilters, spinners, and weavers. For over a decade, the Kings County Fiber Festival has been a beacon for the fiber arts community, and this year, we are bringing that legacy to the heart of Manhattan.
The Experience
Our 2026 event transforms the historic La Placita at La Marqueta (116th Street and Park Avenue) into a vibrant, indoor marketplace. Explore a world of handmade yarns, bespoke clothing, and artisan accessories that tell the unique stories of the tri-state area’s finest independent creators.
Event Highlights
The Marketplace: A curated selection of high-end vendors and independent dyers.
Live Workshops: Designated zones for advanced Knitting and Crochet projects.
Art & Education: Interactive demonstrations and an immersive fiber art exhibit.
Community Giving: The continuation of our signature Annual Hat Drive.
Come spend the day and discover the artistry of the many craft and the maker community.
